About the Artist

Wilton Moreira Alves was born in a small town in the Brazilian Midwest, in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, in 1971. Since he was a boy, he noticed the ease with drawings and paintings and a great attraction for sculptures and paintings linked to bright colors and related to stones or gems.

Already in school, with this ease, he held several exhibitions, including in banks, schools, universities, etc.

“At first it was a fun and leisure hobby, a way of meditation and refuge, something personal where relatives and friends had access to my art. At the time of college, the idea came up to start marketing my art given the interest of people in buying it. The traits and shapes of the works, like everything in life, were modified over time and motivations, but the bright colors and inspiration have always been very alive.”

In 1998, when moving to the U.S., there was an expansion of horizons where not only works of art were sold in Brazil but also in several states in the U.S., Mexico, Canada, and Europe.
